As the SP-3 introduction proceeds and more customers use these great lights, we expect to receive questions concerning usage and of a technical nature.

Q: My SP-3 light will not go completely "OFF" or dark. The white LED remains on at a dim level, and I cannot make it go completely "OFF." What is wrong?

A: There is no problem with your SP-3. This patented feature, which we call "STANDBY," is designed into the light, and is intended to assist in locating the light in the dark.

The small amount of current drawn by the LED at such a dim level has an almost insignificant effect on the life of the batteries.

Q: My SP-3 has begun behaving strangely. It refuses to obey the buttons and both the red and white LEDs are on at the same time at a very dim level. What should I do?

A: Before anything else, try a fresh set of batteries. When the microprocessor is starved for power, the light may exhibit exactly this behavior, refuse to obey its buttons, or otherwise behave unpredictably.
